Environmental Protection Images
Ms. Francis,
I could not post the pictures onto the blog. When I clicked to add images to my post, it did not work. Here are the links for the images I was going to use. I do not have any of the citations for the images because I could not find the information for the images.

Environmental Protection: Is it all good?
When one thinks of environmental, how could we possible think of negatives? Alternative fuel and energy sources, recycling, saving natural resources, helping the animals...what could possibly be wrong? What many people who stand out in the streets protesting to make a difference don't realize, is that the cost of going green is phenomenal. Alternate energy resources are expensive to both build, and switch to. Following through on recycling is also expensive, as well as building recycling plants, which is the reason many states have not made it law. Cost is truly the main issue in environmental protection. The other is the extremely fine line between what needs to be protected and what can be established on. This issue can cause properties to be held in limbo for elongated periods of time.
As anyone can guess, it isn't all bad. Who does not benefit from environmental protection? For humans, it beautifies our environment, ensures we have natural resources, and ensures we will have a place to live for a long while. For animals, it protects where they live. They have safe environments, and are protected from human attack. They are free to live the life they would without human interaction.

Environmental Protection and Globalization
Environmental Protection- now a major movement taken by individuals, groups, and businesses; this is the practice of saving and preserving environmental factors in order better the environment for all inhabitants.
Globalization-in its literal sense is the process of transformation of local or regional phenomena into global ones. It can be described as a process by which the people of the world are unified into a single society and function together.
Environmental Protection is a cause supported all over the world. More and more people in all different places have begun to realize the importance of preserving our environment for many reasons. First of all, we need it here to survive. If there was no environment, Earth would not be able to sustain life. Secondly, we need to preserve natural resources; resources that are found naturally on Earth including water, minerals, fuels; in order to continue living. Many of these resources are non-renewable, so once they are gone, they are gone forever.
The issue of environmental protection is one that affects every single country on the planet, but is only addressed by most of them. Three countries in particular in which environmental protection is a major issue are: the United States of America, a highly developed nation; China, a developed nation; and Mexico, a developing nation.
In the United States of America, environmental protection has become a HUGE issue. Individuals have taken it up in personal causes, joined or formed groups to make a difference, and even businesses have taken up "going green" as a cause, such as FOX, General Electric, and several other businesses. People have developed fundraisers, charities, and other means of collecting money to make a difference in helping the environment. Laws have been developed in all businesses from construction to energy to corporate finance companies to ensure a certain level of green. NGOs work to support the cause, and government agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) have been developed to ensure that environmental protection is upheld. Laws on federal and state levels, such as recycling, have also been established to ensure environmental protection.
China is becoming highly environmentally aware. The Chinese government has recently set major goals for the next five and fifteen years. Seminars have recently been held throughout China in the fields of science, technology, and engineering. Statistics show the annual output of the global environmental protection industry is US$600 billion, far exceeding other emerging industries such as tourism and software. Businesses in China in the manufacturing of equipment and technologies have had the most exponential growth, more than any other business in the nation. China is starting to take a serious stance on "cleaning itself up."
Although Mexico is a small, developing country, it is also taking a very serious stance on environmental protection. Recent changes in Mexico's federal legislature as decentralized many of the powers held by the five states of Mexico: Baja California, Mexico, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, and Veracruz. The five states are taking new, strong stances on environmental protection. The five states are developing new, individual laws to boost the regions environmental friendliness. Many of these laws are modeled after larger, more successful nations-especially those of the United States of America.
